Carbon Jam is a bunch of hooligans who play music they have no business playing. With roots in rock, blues, and other music you can tap your foot to, they will capture your imagination with honest lyrics, catchy rhythms, and a fistful of eclectic covers. They bring the same high-energy show to festival stages, corner bars, and everything in between as they continue to expand and evolve their musical direction. Haley Bauser, often compared to Janis Joplin, Grace Slick and Alison Krauss, belts out songs that range from heartfelt to all out rock and roll. The monster drums of Jay Windsor and funky bass lines of Jake Fultz provide the foundation for the scorching guitar leads of Ben Laderberg and the multi-instrumental talents of Carter Hall on keys and sax.
Their first EP, "I'll Miss You," was released in 2010. They are returning to FloydFest this year for the third time after originally being selected as part of the "Under the Radar" series in 2011.
